The Philippine delegates, Edgardo Manuel Angara and Rupert Ohrelle Tortal hit form at the ASIAN JUNIOR TENNIS ATF U-14 to stroll into the quarter-finals at Ibrahim bin Ahmad Shaffiee, KUAH, LANGKAWI, KEDAH, Malaysia November 13-19, 2017.
The Philippine Tennis Association(PHILTA) no.2 seeded Rupert Ohrelle Tortal and (PHILTA) rank no.4 Edgardo Manuel Angara had fought the going tough at flushing meadows, but the hottest day of the tournament so far Rupert and Manolo saw spark into life.
Pinoy future star tennis players Angara,Tortal went into humble mode in the immediate aftermath. After, Edgardo Manuel Angara swepted his respective foes Melvyn Jing Hing Tiang 6-1,6-1 on first round. He also beat Hong Kiu Lau 6-0, 6-3 in the second round to step up Quarter Finals Asian Junior Tennis ATF U-14 2017.
Meanwhile, Rupert Ohrelle Tortal cruise past two straight sets Umar Haiyat Mohd Rosdi 6-0, 6-0 on first round tourney. And his victory continued after, Tortal never ease his grip beat Syed Uzair Sufi Syed Ibrahim 6-0, 6-0 on second round match-up.
Rupert Ohrelle Tortal started the season on an impressive note when he finished as the 6th place in the boys’ 14-U Asian Junior Tennis ATF Langkawe 2017.
And Edgardo Manuel Angara known as “Manolo”, has been keen to have an impact on the Under-14 boys seeded ranked #3 in men’s doubles, certified achievement of the Asian Junior Tennis Federation (ATF) Langkawe, Malaysia 2017.
The youngsters has already made their presence felt in international age group competitions.
